Q. Does MedChoice dispense the same medications I would otherwise?
All pharmacies in Canada are required by law to dispense medications approved for sale by Health Canada. Generic substitutions are made to save you cost unless you or your prescriber specify that you prefer the brand name, keeping in mind the brand may be considerably more expensive in most cases. Generics are heavily regulated by Health Canada and must demonstrate equivalency to their predecessor brand name before they are approved. Generics are cheaper because they are not charging for the drug development cost.
Q. Can I send you a photocopy of my prescription?
No. We always need to receive an original prescription or one sent from your physician’s office via fax or e-prescribing. For Mobile app online orders, we ask that you send us a picture of the prescription and send us the original paper copy by mail. We need to receive the paper copy before we can ship your medications. To save time we recommend you have your physician office send us the prescription directly
Q. Can I fax or email my prescription?
Yes, but we still require that you send us your original paper prescription by mail before we can ship your order. Best is to have your physician fax or e-prescribe your prescriptions directly to us.

We can also assist you in the process of getting any specialty products approved by your drug plan. We are setup to ship all medications that requires refrigeration in special cold-chain packaging.
